How It Works

We automatically gather news from local sources — RSS feeds, APIs, regional media, and social platforms.
AI Processing
Our AI filters out unnecessary information, extracts concise fact-based statements, and tags key elements: time, location, participants, and outcomes.
Structuring and Updating
Facts are grouped into events. As new information appears, existing events are automatically updated.
Scalable Network
Each regional project operates independently, collecting local facts. All projects are connected into a unified network, allowing us to build a complete and evolving picture of events — first by country, then globally.
Technology
We are building Newsift on a scalable cloud architecture using Cloudflare's solutions:
- Cloudflare Workers — for real-time data processing at the edge.
- Cloudflare R2 — for storing raw news data and media content.
- Cloudflare D1 and KV — for fast database operations and caching facts and tags.
- Cloudflare Pages — for fast and secure frontend hosting.
For text processing and intelligent fact structuring, we use OpenAI models via API.
As the platform grows, Cloudflare's infrastructure ensures fast, secure, and scalable expansion to new regions.
